Extraordinary Increase in the Minimum Wage in Andorra 2026

First of all, the Council of Ministers has approved a new urgent decree for the labor market in the Principality. In fact, it establishes an extraordinary increase of 2.8% in the minimum interprofessional wage with immediate effect starting July 1, 2026.
Furthermore, the main objective of this measure is to reinforce the purchasing power of employees with lower incomes. In this way, the government seeks to mitigate the general impact of the rising cost of living recorded during recent months.
New Official Minimum Wage Figures
Consequently, the new salary table modifies the legal minimum amounts as follows for all ordinary labor relationships:
- The equivalent monthly amount for an ordinary legal working day is set exactly at 1,568.67 euros per month.
- The minimum hourly wage increases proportionally, going from the previous 8.80 euros to the new 9.05 euros per hour.
- This extraordinary update is directly added to the regular revision already approved by the Executive at the beginning of the year.
For this reason, the decision responds directly to the significant acceleration of the general price level. On the other hand, the Government considers it necessary to adopt this specific measure to help preserve household purchasing power.
Obligations and Adaptation for Companies
Therefore, the decree approved by the Council of Ministers is of immediate and mandatory compliance. Likewise, the legal text determines that all companies must adapt the remuneration of employees receiving salaries below this threshold.
Finally, the Executive maintains its firm commitment to effectively protecting workers. Undoubtedly, this increase reinforces social cohesion and actively contributes to protecting low-income families.
